A Steadfast Heart For God

Jesus Christ was 100% confident in the Father. Why? Because the Lord had already finished ALL things! Would you be nervous or discouraged if you knew you would get an A+ on a future test? No! So, are you nervous or discouraged even though you know GOD WON before the foundation of the earth? He OWNS the earth and everything on it and in it (Psalm 24:1). Every king, every principality, every power is COMPLETELY under control of Almighty GOD.
In Matthew, chapter 8 and chapter 10, why could the Lord be so confident and at peace in the raging sea and the wind and the waves? Because He OWNS the sea and the wind and the waves! Even with His disciples panicking and screaming at Him that they were perishing, the Lord was asleep in the boat! Not one peep out of Him. The Lord was soundly at REST. He did not even offer up a prayer to the Father to save them. Because our Lord Jesus had only complete, perfect faith and confidence in God the Father. God is calling us too to have this faith in Him right now.
It is only we mortals who wrongly fear. If we are fearful, that means we are looking at something other than our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord, who ascended to the right hand of the Father and is even right now administering everything that is happening here on earth. Are you with Him? The Bible says you are. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:6: “and raised up up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus“!
In these last weeks, we have all been praying harder than ever before. When I was praying so hard for the things that we now see have gone differently these past days and weeks, I asked the Lord: “Lord why? I must be praying or doing something wrong. If my prayer was right in Your eyes, why do You not hear and act?! I must not be praying for Your will…otherwise You would do it”. I did not question God, His righteousness, or His holiness, or His divine sovereignty – but I questioned myself: Obviously, I had missed the mark in my prayer and obviously God wants to do things according to HIS way, not our human, earthly way (Isaiah 55:9). And the Lord spoke to me at that moment Matthew 10:29: “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.” Even the Lord Jesus says that a sparrow does not fall to the ground without God’s explicit saying so!
Not one thing happens on this earth that it is not already the Father’s will and by His explicit command. We must trust God. We know that all things are in HIS good timing. He has provided us with everything we have needed up till this moment and even abundantly more! We need to pray for what the Holy Spirit leads us to pray. Let us remember that it is HIS WILL AND NOT OURS (Luke 22:42). Praise the Lord and sing to Him glory, hallelujah, and thanksgiving! Rejoice, for the LORD Omnipotent reigns! Rejoice, because He already has the victory! Praise God! If God is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31)? You are stronger than the devil because God’s blessed Son Jesus, raised from the dead with such power, lives in you. Give praise to God! For HE reigns in the heavens and on the earth! There is no higher name! None! Not one – there is no other God.
The kingdom of heaven is coming here to earth! This is a test run! Be prepared for the real thing! The angels and prophets and apostles and all the holy brethren who have gone before us, who have laid hold of the prize for which Christ has laid hold of them are cheering us on, even our Lord Jesus Christ Himself! They know that God has won and so we now are also called to battle! Do not give in! Do not despair! Do not give up!
Matthew 9:28 says, “And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”” This is wonderful. Do you believe? Do not be discouraged, but encouraged. The Lord has given us so much, has paid our debt that we could not repay. Now we must live – and fight – for Him and His purpose. It’s time to fight! There is NO OTHER CHOICE. Have you counted up the cost? Do you know whose side you are on? We follow the Lamb wherever He goes (Rev 14:4). If you haven’t read Revelation yet – now is the time to do so! And let me tell you how this book ends – our God will come (Psalm 50:3).
Take this time to pray to God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ in HIS VICTORY. The victory that He has had before the foundation of the world.
